Finding a basketball team here locally has been pretty tough, football is more the town's crown jewel. Kaden does have a teacher that played in college and has taken the time to put a little team together and practice with the boys. And since there was nothing for Sawyer's age, we asked if he could go to practice, and the coach has been nice enough to let him play a few minutes in the games/scrimmages. Sawyer doesn't quite understand why he doesn't get as much playing time as the others and it often ends in tears. On the flip side if I was a sixth grader and a 3rd grader was playing ahead of me, I would probably be a little upset, he just doesn't see it that way. However, we are grateful for the practices and the time the coaches put in.
You can always pick out Kaden with his Florida Gator's shorts.
This is a new position for him, he was usually a forward, not a guard, but it's good practice.
Sawyer was a little intimidated, but he did really well-had a couple steals and such- made his night.
