Sawyer was lucky enough to be invited back to play on the soccer team again this spring. He really likes it and did pretty well.
Entertaining the little boys during the game always proves to be a challenge. We are fortunate that another player on the team has brothers that are Det and Bens age, they were all born just a few days apart. And boy do they know how to have a good time at those games.
This game we had a tube of bubbles, entertained them all the way till Ben leaned over to catch a bubble, and accidentally poured out the bubbles. Many tears ensued.
Sawyer usually played a forward or sweeper, but really enjoyed just being out there.
They boys tried really hard all season, but I'm not sure that they ever won a game. However, they did play in a soccer tournament in Ephrata, and did amazingly well. They won three out of four games and came in second. To take home a medal seemed to soothe the rest of the years disappointments.
Sawyer tried his hand at goalie this tournament, and really liked it.
One happy little boy.
