It's been a while since we've been able to spend Memorial Day with Brandon's Family, so it was nice to get together with the extended family and spend the day with them. We started the day with visiting Kameron and Christine's baby daughter, and then followed the caravan to Othello were most of the family is resting.
Brandon's grandpa is a WWII vet, he signed up as a cook the second a position became available. The way he puts it, "I always had a warm bed to sleep in, and plenty of food to eat". I'm guessing the part where danger was minimal was an extra plus. He is well into his nineties, and his short term memory is shot, but he can tell you with uncanny clarity what he was doing on a Monday 60 years ago.
We annihilated all the food in about two seconds. The way Brandon puts it, is when they were growing up if there was food and you wanted it, you had better eat it and fast because someone else wasn't going to wait for you to make up your mind.
And it wouldn't be Memorial Day with out a traditional game of baseball.
Detton the dare-devil.
"Play-it-safe Ben", sitting right int he middle.
